Ladies of Twitter Main Title Pose

As the episode begins and the intro fades from the screen, we see shots of Twitter’s skyline as the sun sets. Upbeat music plays as we see shots of cars speeding down the street before the camera focuses in on an upscale library in the heart of Twitter. There we see Grace speaking with staff and putting the finishing touches on her book launch and posing for photos holding one of the first copies of the book as the scene begins…

Grace’s Book Launch Party

Grace’s Confessional: So, today I am SO excited and proud to be hosting an event to coincide with the completion of my very first book, Give Me Grace. It’s been a long tough journey and I’m so excited to share more with the girls and give them a taste of what’s to come when the book is released!

Grace and Grace’s Book

The camera pans to a shot of Grace’s book cover as we begin seeing the other Ladies arrive to the venue…

Harlow: Harlow walks in. Grace! Baby! How are you? I’m so glad to see you here and succeeding!

Harlow

Grace: Hi gorg! Thank you for coming!

Teairra’s Confessional: I’m actually quite excited to see what grace’s book gives because I feel like, yes, it might consist of lies but I heard she’s giving out free copies! sounds like something good cause I am NOT spending a penny on this book.

Teairra: Teairra walks in slowly. Hello, hellooo!

Teairra

Harlow: Teairra!

Grace: Hi there! Grace hands Teairra a glass of champagne. Here.

Teairra: Teairra hugs Harlow. Hey gorgeous! How are you? And thank you Grace!

Grace: Hi ladies, come get comfy we have canapés and champagne!

Luciana: Luciana walks in. Don’t mind if I do! You look lovely Grace!

Luciana

Grace: So do you! Ready for Christmas in that red honey.

Luciana: Gotta make sure I stay off the naughty list!

Teairra: Teairra looks around. This place is humongous! I love a good book, let me go browse. Teairra laughs.

Grace: I’ve got what you need right here, Teairra. A nice self-reflective book for you.

Teairra: Reflective? Where is it! Is it your book? Or some other book in here?

Grace: Yes. Can’t you see the cover? It’s been a lot to do yes, but I think it’ll be a very interesting read.

Luciana: Gorgeous cover!!!

Teairra: Teairra lifts her shades and looks at the cover. Ohhh! It actually is really cute!

Harlow: I love this cover! It’s so nice! Did they use FaceApp? Your skin is glowing!

Luciana: Luciana laughs. HARLOW!!

Grace: No, all my own skin! And then they photoskipped me. Or photodipped? Whatever it’s called.

Teairra: You look a lot of years younger, it looks good. They did a good job!

Luciana’s Confessional

Luciana’s Confessional: I love Harlow, but lady, wrong time wrong place.

Grace: I look amazing, yes.

Teairra: How many pages is in this book? Looks heavy.

Luciana: Where’s Billie?

Grace: I’m not sure, I invited everyone tonight.

Erica: Erica walks into the building, walking past Teairra and Harlow. Graceee!

Erica

Grace: Hi Erica darling! Teairra, it’s 300 pages! With pictures!

Erica: Hi love! This is amazing. I’m so proud of you.

Harlow: I can’t wait to read it! Harlow looks at Erica and turns to walk away. That’s my cue to go.

Grace: Thank you Erica. I’m excited for you all to read it.

Erica: Erica hugs Luci. Hi Love, how are you?

Luciana: Hi babe doll, I’m good, how about you?

Erica: I’m doing amazing. Is it just me and you here for Grace?

Luciana: Harlow is here too…around here somewhere!

Erica: She is? I didn’t even notice.

Billie’s Confessional: Today is Grace’s book launch! I’m glad to see Grace getting her bag! But I mean how hard is her life she’s a 60-year-old white woman who is “wealthy” and accomplished. Let’s hear her out though!

Billie: Billie walks into the venue. Hello Ladies! I couldn’t miss this event. I even told production on the set I had to go! This was my look on set today.

Billie

Grace: Billie! TV movie star! Welcome!

Luciana: Wow! Billie!

Erica: Billieeee!!! Erica whispers to Billie. Did you just steal the show?

Billie: Billie laughs. Well, someone had to spice things up a bit!!

Teairra: Teairra walks over to Harlow. Did you see Erica enter the building?

Harlow: No, don’t think I did.

Grace: Grace clears her throat and begins to speak. Ladies! I’d like to make a small speech before I do a dramatic reading later on.

Luciana: Let’s go Gracie!!!

Billie: Oh my, yes Grace let’s hear what you got to say!

Grace: So, thank you all for coming tonight, it’s a huge moment for me in my career and my life as a whole. I’d like to thank my daughter and my ex-husband for also showing so much love to me through this.

The camera pans to Billie as we see her making a face as she listens to Grace…

Grace’s Confessional

Grace’s Confessional: The ladies probably won’t read the book, but if they did I feel like they’d realize how much of a different person I am becoming. Yeah, I’m not perfect but I know that now, and that’s okay!

Grace: You know I was approached to do this book, it was going to be all about me preaching on me having it all and how I got to where I am. I was told I have it all, I look like I have it all, but when I sat down to write, I realized — my life is anything but perfect! I’ve done some pretty bad things, nasty too. I’ve dealt with a lot of things with my family and sister. So, I give you my book and like the title says, please GIVE ME GRACE!

Billie’s Confessional

Billie’s Confessional: Billie laughs. God love Grace, she lives in her own little world. I don’t know if this is her way of taking accountability or continuing to blame others for her actions… either way I’ll read the book and give her a shot!

Luciana: Amazing! Simply amazing! What a great speaker she is

Harlow: Yes Grace!

Harlow’s Confessional: I’m so happy for Grace. I’ve known her for many years and seeing where is now makes me so happy.

Billie: Grace, I’d like to buy a copy for me and my mother! She loves to read when she’s flying to come see me!

Grace: Your support means a lot, Billie.

Erica’s Confessional: I’m glad Grace is acknowledging her bad behavior and all her bad deeds. Hopefully she continues on this path of change, and this isn’t all for the “book.”

Grace: So Ladies, come around, let’s all catch up. How are we all doing??

Billie: Where are Devyn and Leila tonight?

Grace: Leila can’t make it! I haven’t heard from Devyn.

Luciana: Shocker

Erica: Do you think Devyn missed on purpose?

Grace: I mean I’d hope not, but let’s be real, it’s probably on purpose.

Teairra: Teairra makes a face. But you made it to Leila’s fashion show right? That’s interesting.

Billie: I think we all know Devyn is only in for things that benefit Devyn and Devyn only.

Grace: I wasn’t there the whole time, so I wouldn’t say I was there. I know you miss me when I’m not around honey. Grace laughs.

Teairra: Right! Teairra nods and smiles sarcastically. But um, maybe she didn’t make it on purpose as well.

Grace: I mean I spoke to her earlier.

Luciana’s Confessional

Luciana’s Confessional: Can we go one night without drama??

Billie: You missed a lot at the fashion show! Leila showed her ass without a doubt.

Grace: But look for an issue elsewhere you troublemaker.

Teairra: Look for an issue? Teairra laughs. Did you not just say Devyn wasn’t here purposely? So, what’s the difference?

Grace: I just said it’s probably why she isn’t here

Erica: This is Grace’s event, Teairra please, let’s try and behave a little.

Grace: I don’t care if she’s here or not to be honest.

Teairra: I’m behaving! I just was making a statement.

Grace: She’s not been a friend to me, so like I said I’m not shocked.

Billie: Let’s not have a fashion show 2.0 where the host is getting out of character!

Teairra: Go deal with your book Grace, it’s fine. I get Leila is your friend but come on. Go deal with your book Grace, it’s fine, I get it. Leila is your friend, but come on.

Grace: Grace passes Teairra her book. Here.

Teairra: Teairra takes the book and puts it down. So anyway, you’re clearly having an episode.

Erica: Leila would have been here if she could. That’s that.

Grace: SO ANYWAY! Girls, another announcement of sorts.

Billie: Billie takes a swig from her flask. Please don’t let it be a trip. Please don’t let it be a trip.

Grace: One of my girlfriends’ husband recently gave me a listing in a stunning location! I think it’s time we jet away somewhere truly beautiful and unique and go away for a girl’s trip! Has anyone been to CAPE TOWN!?

Luciana: Yes yes!!! Oh my god! Africa!!!

Billie: Oh MY GOD!! We are going to South Africa??? Billie looks to Erica. Can you travel this late in your pregnancy?

Harlow: CAPE TOWN?! Yay!! I’m so excited!

Harlow’s Confessional: I have some South African heritage in me. I don’t know where I’m from, but maybe I’ll see some people I know.

Luciana: I need to pack my cheetah!!!

Grace: Teairra, I’m inviting you but as long as you respect the host!

Erica: I’ll definitely have to consult with my doctor, but yay, a trip!

Erica’s Confessional

Erica’s Confessional: I’m hoping and praying my doctor tells me to stay my big ass on my couch in MY home. I don’t really have time for these girls and their nasty egos.

Teairra: If the host respects me, we’ll be fine! Cape Town sounds amazing.

Billie: Now that Devyn isn’t here are you planning on inviting her?

Grace: Teairra calm down, I’m all good here. I won’t be inviting her, no.

Erica: So that means Leila and Harlow isn’t invited either? Since they didn’t come?

Billie: I can finally stay in the house this time!! Billie laughs. Erica, Garlow is right here.

Harlow: Erica please! Harlow rolls her eyes. You can zip up!

Grace: Everyone else is invited

Erica: Oh… you’re just always blending into the decor. I’m sorry. Erica flips her hair and turns back to Grace. I hope I can make it.

Harlow: Oh really? Harlow laughs as she mumbles. What a joke.

Grace: I hope you can too Erica

Teairra’s Confessional

Teairra’s Confessional: Did I say something wrong? Like its clear Grace holds Leila to a different standard than Devyn! That’s just real if Iknew it would’ve triggered her, I would’ve shut up, I guess I’m too real for these bitches!

Billie: Can I suggest we do an African safari while we are there!

Grace: I’ve got it all planned Billie, but thanks! Oh, my phone is ringing one moment please ladies. Grace walks away.

Billie’s Confessional: It’s been YEARS since I’ve been to South Africa but when I went all I remember is going to this club and next morning I woke up and there was a cheetah and a man next to me. It’s always a good time in South Africa. Billie laughs.

Erica: Hopefully I won’t be a bitch on the trip. Erica looks at Harlow. Right?

Harlow: Very right! I hope so too.

Erica: Hope you can keep up with your lies as well. We’ll have a good time!

Harlow: Oh Erica, Erica, Erica! I’ll have my “lies” ready by the time we get in South Africa!

Grace: Grace walks back up. Girls, that was Devyn, weirdly enough. She said Teairra just text her about the trip. You move fast girl!

Teairra: Teairra nods. What’s the problem with that? Were you not inviting her? I’m confused.

Grace: Listen this trip is about us coming together and having fun.

Billie: Damn Teairra, and I thought I had the biggest lips in this group!

Harlow’s Confessional

Harlow’s Confessional: Teairra spilling the beans about the trip? Wow! Harlow laughs.

Grace: I’ve not specified dates darlings.

Teairra: Look! Devyn has been kind to me, I feel like she would be a good asset regardless how anyone else feels.

Grace: Listen, she’s invited now thanks to Teairra, but let’s all have an open mind and try to come together.

Erica’s Confessional

Erica’s Confessional: I’m sorry, I don’t like Teairra, but damn! That was fast and funny. If Billie was in the predicament, I would have did the same. Erica shrugs.

Billie: A good asset to who?? TEAIRRA, SHE TRIED TO ASSUALT ME FOR GETTING HER WET!

Teairra: Teairra jumps back. Okay Billie! no need to yell. You poured water on her, was she supposed to stand there? Let’s be real here

Grace: Billie, this is a library, stop yelling.

Billie: No, but violence isn’t the option. I know you like to run up on pregnant women, but that isn’t how I handle my shit! Plus, Devyn needed to lighten up a bit.

Teairra: Hold up! I didn’t run up on anyone pregnant! The pregnant woman ran up on ME!

Grace: God, I’m already regretting this trip

Billie: You didn’t run up on Erica and provoke her?

Harlow: Okay ladies we don’t have to do this! Harlow puts her hands up.

Erica: We’re spinning stories again. Maybe you need to stay away from that one. Erica points at Harlow. She’s rubbing off on you. Just lying to lie.

Billie: Sorry Grace, I just had to call out the double standard.

Teairra: If we’re holding me accountable, lets hold Luci and everyone else accountable. I’m not the only one who got into it with erica

Luciana: What did I do??

Erica: All these bitches have got in my face. But it’s about you right now!

Teairra: We’re not going to sit here and act like erica didn’t provoke ME! I don’t care if she’s pregnant or not. She has a history.

Erica: I’m not about to argue with you, that’s what I’m not about to do. A history? Teairra this is about YOU!

Teairra: This isn’t an argument! Y’all are intimidated by Devyn?

Harlow’s Confessional

Harlow’s Confessional: I think we’ve had enough talking!

Teairra: Is this the problem?

Billie: Erica she’s not worth it, let’s let Grace have her event.

Erica: I’m not intimidated by anybody bitch.

Grace: Devyn is all mouth. C’mon Erica, I’ll read some of my book to you.

Teairra: Teairra puts her hand up in Erica’s direction. I’m not entertaining y’all bitches. Teairra walks away, sipping her drink. This is pathetic. Where’s the exit?

Grace: Over there, leave the book on your way out. Girls who are staying we’ve got a dinner upstairs!

Billie: I’m staying, but you bitches stress me out. Now I need this cigarette.

Erica’s Confessional

Erica’s Confessional: To THINK I was going to suggest Teairra and I talk on this trip but once again everything goes back to ERICA! Like why was I even in this? Erica laughs.

Harlow: Harlow walks after Teairra. Hon, why are you leaving?!

Teairra: Teairra drops the book on the ground on her way out and looks at Harlow. I can’t deal with these ladies, they’re hypocrites!

Harlow: No, you’re not leaving Teairra! Don’t drop that book. Grace probably paid lots for that! Harlow picks up the book and wipes the dust off. Good as new.

As Teairra exits the building, the scene begins to shift to several days later as we begin seeing all the Ladies, except for Luciana, boarding a plane as we hear fun party music. The scene then transitions once more as we see the Ladies arriving in Cape Town, South Africa as shots of the city play across the screen. The scene then transitions as we see the women, other than Billie who is mysterious absent, stepping out of their van and arriving to the home Grace as obtained for the group as we begin…

Cape Town, South Africa
Group Rental Home (Grace’s Listing)

Grace’s Confessional: Well, we landed and we’re finally in Cape Town! I’ve never been here before, so I’ve pulled out all the stops to make sure this trip is unforgettable, first stop? The gorgeous house, pool, and champagne!

Leila: Leila walks in with the ladies. Okaaaaay Grace! This is noiceeeee!

Grace, Devyn, Leila, Erica, Harlow, Teairra

Devyn: Whew, this is nice. Not sure we’re getting in touch with the locals.

Erica’s Confessional: After a long, LONG, uncomfortable flight, we’ve finally arrived in Cape Town. I have to give it up to Grace because the accommodations are actually looking… livable. Now since I’m so far along, I had to consult with my doctor, and I have a whole team here with me in Cape Town just in case the worst happens.

Grace: Come girls they’ll sort your bags, champagne and a mocktail for Erica!

Teairra: Teairra walks in with her bags and looks around. Ohhhh! this is actually really cute.

Grace: Then we can sort rooms!

Leila: You are looking snatched Dev! Leila snaps.

Devyn: What’s on the itinerary today, Grace?

Grace: Drinks at the pool Dev.

Harlow: Harlow looks around. This is nice!

Grace: Then we have a dinner later tonight at a very special place

Teairra: I’m glad the money went to good use this place is pretty!

Grace: Okay girls, so how are we all feeling?

Devyn: I feel fantastic. I’m so happy to be back.

Harlow: Feeling good to be here!

Teairra: Teairra combs through her bob. I’ve been okay! Can’t complain today, I suppose.

Leila: Good to be back too! With some of you…Leila laughs. I’m kidding.

Grace: So, Luci is joining us later…she had some kind of work or something.

Just then, the camera pans as we see Billie stepping out of a cab outside the house…

Billie

Billie’s Confessional: My bags didn’t arrive with everyone else’s so I’m late getting to the house but trust me, if there’s a will there’s a way.

Grace: Luci and I are going to share the master, of course

Teairra: I understand this is your trip, but why Luci?

Grace: Well, she’s my bestie and I’m sharing a bed so you can all have your own rooms.

Leila: Now where am I sleeping. Leila sees Billie walk in and gives her a look of disgust.

Leila’s Confessional: I forgot that big-lipped bimbo was coming on this trip. Eww, gross.

Billie: Billie walks in and puts her bags down. Grace, why did you have the van leave me? I had to get a damn cab out here.

Grace: But let’s make it fun. So, I’m going to quiz you all on my book! Whoever gets it right first gets the room.

Leila: I’m ready let’s go!

Grace’s Confessional

Grace’s Confessional: I know full well these girls won’t have read my masterpiece, so let’s have some fun!

Teairra: Oh lord…

Erica: Erica sits down. We’re having a quiz?

Grace: Grace gets her book out. Okay page 184… I talk about my sexual partners. How many have I had in my 63 years?

Harlow: 24!

Billie: 15!!

Devyn: 19

Teairra: 37

Leila: I’ma say 40!!!

Billie’s Confessional

Billie’s Confessional: Damn these girls think that Grace has been RAN THROUGH! Billie laughs.

Grace: Teairra is correct…

Teairra’s Confessional

Teairra’s Confessional: I was being nice not saying 62! Because she’s been on this earth for so long, how was I supposed to know?!

Erica: Erica’s eyes widen. Whew

Grace: You get room 2! With jacuzzi

Leila: Grace has been around the block!

Teairra: Teairra claps. Wooooo! Teairra takes her backs to the room and sits them down. Lucky me, right? Teairra walks back to the group.

Erica: Guess you needed a pap!

Devyn: THIRTY-SEVEN???? How many STDs?

Grace: Question 2, what is my biggest fear? Page 24.

Harlow: Oh my God. Um…aging!

Leila: Being alone

Devyn: Great fashion? Dying alone?

Billie: Dying alone!

Erica: Losing your daughter! Run me my money!

Devyn’s Confessional

Devyn’s Confessional: No, I didn’t read the book.

Grace: Erica! Yes! Room 3 for baby mama! Now question 3, true or false, I’ve never done anal! Page 276. Grace winks.

Billie: True!!!!

Harlow: False!

Leila: FALSE!

Devyn: True.

Harlow: Harlow whispers. What’s an anal again?

Grace: Harlow and Leila, you’ll share the joining rooms of 4 & 5!

Harlow: Ooh! Fun!

Leila: Well alright that’s basically like having my own room.

Leila’s Confessional

Leila’s Confessional: Harquiet ain’t gonna even speak a word to me so I’m cool.

Grace: Billie and Devyn, down to you. One of the rooms is the maid’s room by the way.

Billie’s Confessional

Billie’s Confessional: I will leave this house before I sleep in a maids room.

Devyn: Devyn begins to text her travel agent. So, I just might need that reservation in CT after all.

Leila: Leila smirks and whispers to Devyn. Billie’s used to low standards of living. Wouldn’t be anything new.

Grace: Devyn, Billie… page 222… when did I make my first million dollars?

Devyn: Last year.

Billie: 35!

Grace: Billie got it right! You listen! Billie, here’s your key. Doctor, enjoy your room! It has its own shower!

Teairra: Oh wow!

Devyn: I get to live like my ancestors. Lovely. Unless I leave which is highly possible. Do the other rooms not have their own showers, Grace?

Billie: Who am I next to?

Teairra: Well, that was a quick game.

Leila: Are we all going somewhere now? What’s the plan?

Grace: Go to your rooms and get ready, then we will head out later on.

Teairra: Teairra walks to her room. As long as I’m in my own space, I’m good!

Leila: Leila goes to her room and takes all of the closet space. How much could she have to hang up? She wears blazers and jeans all the time, she can fold that shit.

As the women begin to settle into their rooms, we see the scene begin to shift as we see the Ladies in the rooms as some women begin to change outfits and others settle into their space. Ominous music plays as we first see Erica, Billie, Harlow, and Leila making their way into a van and driving away from the property as the scene shifts and we see Grace sitting by the house’s pool reading as the scene begins…

Teairra’s Confessional: So far, the scenery in Cape Town has been amazing! Now it’s time to get down to business because there’s a lot to unpack, I’m not sure Devyn knows how much commotion she caused just by being invited by me. Teairra laughs. Like girl…don’t get me started.

Teairra: Teairra walks out slowly with her drink in hand. Hello, hello.

Teairra

Grace: Come dip your toes in! It’s glorious.

Grace

Teairra: Teairra sits down and puts her feet in. Oh! this water is freezing are we in Antarctica?!

The camera then pans across the pool as we see Devyn walking down from the house and sitting down alone…

Devyn

Grace: Devyn, come over here. Put your feet in, it’s nice. Plus, I want to speak to you both.

Teairra: Yes Devyn, please come! Teairra taps beside herself. You need to be filled in!

Grace’s Confessional: I really don’t want Devyn or Teairra causing any unnecessary drama on this trip. So, I’m going to speak to them, just get it all out.

The camera pans to Devyn as we see her squinting at Grace from across the pool…

Devyn’s Confessional

Devyn’s Confessional: Is she talking to me?

Devyn: Devyn shouts. I can’t hear you over the maids doing their work. Send a carrier pigeon.

Grace: What’s her issue now?

Teairra: Let me go see… Teairra walks over to Devyn. Hey boo, you okay?

Grace: Grace walks over behind Teairra. Devyn, your room is perfectly fine. Come on…

Devyn: Devyn takes a deep breath. Hey T. I’m okay. How are you?

Grace: What’s the issue now? I sent the other girls shopping so we could all have an adult conversation. Is that possible here?

Devyn: Hopefully we have a great time. We’re all adults. So, your criteria was meet the moment you walked over here.

Teairra: Yes, its possible Grace, there’s a lot I have to say anyways.

Grace: Can you tell me what’s got you so upset? I’m all ears Teairra.

Teairra: Well, for starters, you weren’t there Devyn but at Grace’s book launch, she insinuated that you purposely didn’t attend! And I felt like it was misinformation, so I spoke up and I think you, Grace, took it the wrong way.

Devyn: Grace, I’m fine. I’m just not fond of the attempted embarrassment of putting any one of us in servants quarters.

Grace: You aren’t in the servants’ quarters! Who calls them that anyway? Grace laughs. You’re in a stunning bedroom by the green. You should have read my book and you would have got a better room! Sorry.

Teairra: Did you even send her a copy?

Devyn: I wasn’t there because I was sick, which I notified Grace of. If I simply didn’t want to attend, I would have declined your invitation. As far as reading your book, I don’t have time to journal much less reading a book. I have a wedding to plan and minor children to take care of.

Grace: Grace shrugs. That’s how I feel. You didn’t let me know, Devyn. That’s a lie.

Devyn: I let everyone know Grace.

Grace: And it’s why I didn’t want to invite you on this trip, I feel like you want to cause an issue with anyone and everyone.

Teairra: Teairra nods. Now I won’t lie Devyn! I did compare you and Leila both not attending and how Leila is held to a different standard than you. I insinuated if you didn’t attend “purposely” neither did Leila. And it struck a nerve I believe…

Grace: Leila is my friend, so you’re right it is different.

Devyn: Teairra, I appreciate you standing up for me. As far as me starting stuff with everyone, that is a bold face lie.

Grace: What’s a lie? C’mon, give it to me.

Devyn: If you don’t want me here, I’ll gladly go. I don’t have to be anywhere I’m not wanted. Devyn stands up.

Grace: Now I didn’t say that. Stop playing victim Devyn. I invited you here after Teairra let you know. I’m here because I want more peace within this group.

Devyn: Bitch, you just said you didn’t want to invite me. I’m not fighting with you Grace. It’s frankly a waste of my time.

Grace’s Confessional

Grace’s Confessional: Devyn’s moaning about her gorgeous room, she moans about everything. Like go home then. I’m trying here why aren’t you?

Grace: Don’t call me a bitch.

Devyn: I don’t want anything with you Grace. Peace, conflict, nothing. Don’t talk to me, and you’ll be fine. Meanwhile, I’m going to grab my things. My ride is out front.

Teairra: Devyn, you have to stay!

Grace: Okay, take care. No, she can go. Leave her. You’re a drama queen Devyn, you need help. Seriously.

Teairra: I already endured enough for inviting you, you can’t let them get what they want with you leaving so early.

Devyn: Teairra, I’m sorry. I’m not going to be defamed by Grace in her weak ass attempt at putting 2 black women in their place. She tried it.

Grace: Oh, don’t even go there Devyn. That’s wrong. I am trying to talk to you both, you are being difficult like you always are. I’m trying here, you don’t want to hear it, then you don’t need to. Grace sits back down. Teairra, are we good? Anything you would like to clear up?

Teairra: I’m fine, for the sake of the group but I didn’t appreciate the ambush at ALL. Even Billie got all loud and angry for no reason. I did nothing to her.

Devyn: It’s what you’re doing. I’m not always difficult. Stop saying shit like that. I’m not a drama queen. I’m not a fucking victim. Just stop with the character assassination. I’m tired of your weak ass attempt at redeeming your unredeemable personality.

Teairra: Are you really leaving? I need somebody here with me besides Harlow, I’ll make sure we have fun!

Grace: Devyn, leave. Goodbye. Take your dark cloud elsewhere. We want rainbows on this trip!

Devyn: Teairra if I knew this is why I was invited, I never would have come. If the host can’t act mature and invite everyone, they shouldn’t be hosting the trip. Devyn walks away and into the house.

Grace: I invited you, you’re here. It was an olive branch, much like this discussion. You’re the one making it a big thing.

Teairra: Teairra sighs and watches Devyn walk off. She’ll be fine, I’ll make sure she doesn’t leave, I didn’t expect it to escalate that fast.

Grace: Well, I’m going to go get ready for tonight. Talk to you later Teairra.

Teairra: Teairra stands up with her drink. I’ll see you later.

Grace: Grace walks into Devyn’s room. Can we talk or what?

Teairra’s Confessional

Teairra’s Confessional: For the sake of this trip, I’m trying to hold my composure but just a reminder that does NOT mean you can push over me. I still didn’t get a full apology, but I’ll take it for what it is, being cordial.

Devyn: I have no interest in talking to someone that just said all the things you did about me. Keep your same energy and get out of my way. Devyn puts on sunglasses, walks down the hall and hops into a taxi.

Grace: Okay. Grace sighs and shuts the door.

As the Ladies by the pool go their separate ways, the camera begins to shift once more. There, we see Leila, Billie, Harlow, and Erica are seen getting out of their van and walking down a crowded street in the heart of Cape Town as the scene continues…

Harlow: Harlow looks at the ladies. I love Cape Town. It’s really beautiful.

Harlow

Erica’s Confessional: This shopping trip is going to be the definition of Awkward! We have the walking mannequin, we know she never talks, and then we have this situation with Billie and Leila. Can’t my friends just get along!

Erica: Erica looks around. This is just so beautiful.

Erica

Leila: I know it’s so nice here. Should we head into this store? Leila points at a boutique.

Leila

Billie’s Confessional: I see Leila is joining us on the shopping trip. She must be going to see what designs she can steal and claim as her own. I see you, Leila.

Billie

The Ladies then make their way into the boutique and start looking around as they chat…

Billie: Harlow, how are you feeling?

Harlow: Well, uhm… I’m happy to be here. Hoping this will be a drama free trip. Harlow looks at Erica. Right?

Erica: I’m drama free and carefree baby. We’re good.

Billie: Erica just wants peace, Harlow. I mean look at her. If she has any more stress, she’ll be having a baby in South Africa.

Leila: Ooh, this is cute! Leila feels a jacket.

Harlow: Let’s not hope that! Harlow laughs while looking around. Wow! Look at this blazer! Doesn’t this fit me?!

Billie: Harlow, that’s like your staple is blazers! Billie laughs.

Leila: Leila grabs the blazer. Girl put it down, let’s find you something different.

Billie’s Confessional

Billie’s Confessional: I don’t think I’ve seen Harlow in a dress yet. Just blazers! Billie laughs.

Leila: What about some denim Harlow? You’d look good in that.

Harlow: Maybe I’ll take that! I think it’s nice!

Leila: So…how y’all doing?

Erica: I’m tired girl. Hopefully I can just relax here and have fun.

Billie: Umm, I’m doing good. I’ve been better though, especially with you.

Harlow: I’m doing fine Leila!

Leila: I’m good girls! I’m happy to be here in Africa, this will hopefully be a fun trip!

Billie: I think as long as no one is provoked, yes, it sound be a fun trip!

Leila: Y’all, I’ma take the knife and cut the tension…Billie, you wanna talk?

Billie: I think it’s needed Leila, let’s go sit on this sofa and let them look around.

Leila: That’s cool. Leila sits down with Billie. So, I’m really hurt by the way I was treated at my fashion show.

Billie: So? I wanna hear your side because your event went too far left.

Leila: It almost feels as though you want drama with me Billie because you came at me at Harlow’s jewelry thing. Then you doubled down on all your comments when you attacked me at MY event.

Billie: Was I wrong for attacking you at your event? Probably so. But it had just built up for so long that I had reached my breaking point with you. I genuinely felt you treated me differently than Devyn in that situation that happened in Nantucket. You condemned me and my behavior publicly and apparently condemned Devyn for hers privately.

The camera pans to Leila’s face as she rolls her eyes…

Billie: If we are both your good friends, then why do that? It’s almost like you are in some alliance with Devyn to paint me out to look like the bad guy.

Leila: Now you’re just flattering yourself thinking we’re in some kind of alliance against you. I just think that you started it, you provoked her, you should take the blame. I told Dev it’s not okay to put her hands on people. But if someone threw a bottle of water on you unprovoked, you’d do the same.

The camera pivots to Billie as we see her shaking her head listening to Leila…

Leila: But that’s not the problem, the problem is you saying that my business isn’t legit. Because we all know it is. You’ve shopped there PLENTY of times. If you don’t have a business of your own, you shouldn’t be commenting on other people’s!

Billie: I do have a business. I have a restaurant I’m in partnership with. I never questioned on legitimacy of your business. I just said it was funded by a rich older man, that’s all.

Leila: And you called it “that shop” which is condescending as fuck! And you putting whatever money you’ve scrupled up into a partnership isn’t a business girl.

Leila’s Confessional

Leila’s Confessional: I built my business from the ground up, and she thinks the restaurant she’s funded from money on the nightstand is a business? Honey, think again.

Billie: Well, that’s what you and that old man have together. So, are you saying you don’t run a business either Leila?

Leila: Old man? Girl that’s you, not me. I’m married and my business is funded by ME. You’re just insane Billie trying to spread rumors for a moment.

Billie: Billie laughs. You have full ownership of this boutique? It’s public records who owns the building you’re in.

Erica: Erica walks over. Ladies, Ladies. You girls were friends, we don’t need to get nasty like this.

Leila: Okay girl, bring‘em out. You got the records in your phone? Pull it out! And you won’t because you’re making shit up. This isn’t productive at all, I said it last time Billie you need help. I’ll send Erica a list of therapists that she can send to you. Leila gets up and walks away.

Billie: I need help? Billie laughs. Says the one that isn’t looking for resolution.

Erica: Can we just not do this here? A talk is needed but not here guys.

Billie: I’m ready to go to lunch, can we just leave here. Billie walks up to cashier. I will pay for mine and the women in yellow who just stormed out since she didn’t pay.

Leila: Girl, I’m right here. I just had to walk away from you and your bullshit.

Harlow’s Confessional

Harlow’s Confessional: That was… very eventful. Harlow laughs. Wasn’t it? When are the ladies ever going to be friends at once?

As dramatic music plays, the scene shifts once more as we see the Ladies getting ready in their individual bedrooms before we begin to see them taking SUVs to dinner for the night. We see Luciana rolling her suitcase into the house, followed by shots of the restaurant, where the Ladies will dine overlooking the beach. We then watch as the Ladies begin arriving and the scene begins…

Grace: This place is so stunning, wow, we’re so lucky to be here!

Grace’s Confessional: I’ve arranged a gorgeous dinner by the sea front tonight for our first dinner. I know it’ll be beautiful, and they’ll all be on their best behavior. Even me! Grace laughs. Who am I kidding?

Grace

Teairra: Teairra walks to the table and takes a seat and looks at the scenery. Wow, this is actually really pretty!

Teairra

Grace: You keep saying that Teairra, has it got you shook?

Teairra: Yes! I don’t want to say I underestimated you, but I did! Teairra laughs.

Luciana: Hi girls!

Luciana

Devyn’s Confessional: Travel here was long. The host sucks, but I decided to stay around because I want to hang out with Teairra and Leila. I love my girls, and no New York Time Least Seller or her sidekicks are ruining that for me.

Leila: Whew, hey girls! Leila walks up and sits down.

Leila

Devyn: Devyn walks in, hugs, and sits by Teairra. Hey T.

Devyn

Billie’s Confessional: Tonight is the first dinner here! It’s already been a day and I mean we’ve only been here 12 hours. I’m jet lagged and already over most of these bitches!

Harlow: Hey ladies! Harlow sits down.

Harlow

Teairra: Hey Devyn!

Leila: Yas Harlow, love the no blazer!

Harlow: It’s serving isn’t it? Harlow laughs as she places her bag down.

Grace: So…how’s everyone feeling?

Leila: Leila waves at Devyn. Hey baby!

Grace: Look at that sea!

Erica: Erica walks up with Billie. Hi everyone!!

Billie and Erica

Devyn: Are Luci and Billie going to a funeral?

Luciana: Excuse me?

Grace: Girls, I preordered they’re bringing us a ton of food. Shall we get some drinks? Then I’d like to propose a toast!

Devyn: You’re wearing black long sleeves like you are going to a funeral.

Luciana: Some of us look good in black. Idiot.

Devyn: I know that better than you honey. I have melanin for days. Devyn winks.

Billie: Billie sits down. I’m in a black shimmery dress with a Bob Devyn. I don’t think I’m attending anyones funeral but maybe yours. Billie smirks.

Erica: Oh wow, we’re starting early… Erica sips her water.

Devyn: Billie, you’re closer to death than me. Just ask your lungs. Years of smoking does a number.

Grace: Okay ladies, hush…I’d like to propose a toast! I’d like to propose a toast! To you all, thank you for coming and leaving your families and businesses to attend with me. I’d also like to just take this time and own my mess. Devyn… Grace turns to Devyn.

As tension music builds, the camera pans around the table as the group nervously awaits what Grace says to Devyn as the scene and episode come to an end.

Next time on Ladies of Twitter…Grace finds herself in the hot seat as the group’s first dinner in Cape Town quickly turns to fighting. Harlow attempts to address the shade she has felt from some of the women. An afternoon in the air finds Erica and Grace at odds. Luciana is dealt a surprising blow as trouble ensues back home.
