Talk That Talk to ME: Episode 1, Petra reveals ALL things RHOBB…
Today’s podcast, the VERY FIRST of the season features none other than producer extraordinaire, Petra from The Real Housewives of Beverley Beach!

Kirby’s Intro: HELLO!! Thank you for tuning in to the very first episode of TALK THAT TALK TO ME. An all new experience in role-play. I am here to show that it’s important to have some fun, expose some secrets, reveal some truths and maybe throw a little shade too, but mostly, this podcast is for you, the viewer.
Today we have none other than Petra, the producer behind the glorious show that is The Real Housewives of Beverley Beach. I haven’t sat down like this before with Petra and they gave us some great intel on the show that gets everyone in the community talking!
Okay, so, go grab a snack, get a cup of tea and settle in.

Kirby: SO. Gorgeous lady. Tell me how you got into role-play? I don’t even know this story! *smiles*
Petra: Well I got into roleplay because I used to have just a housewives stan account, then I stumbled on it somehow and thought it looked fun. I then got cast for The Real Housewives of Twitter & M2M Twitter. I decided I wanted to produce my own after seeing and learning how it worked on those two shows. I’ve never looked back!
Kirby: Tell me what you like most about doing it, and what you like the least.
Petra: I think what I liked the most is editing and creating the storylines. The cast does such a great job of producing so much content and drama in almost every scene — sometimes the big group ones get super chaotic when we film. Which I’m sure you know all about! *laughs* But anyways, some people come out unsure if the scene actually worked because there was so much going on. But those scenes are perfect for me because I can edit it down, make it cohesive, and really try to use my best judgement on what to highlight and put in the episode that drives the season forward. I think what I enjoy the least about producing is for sure the politics *rolls eyes and laughs*
Kirby: That gets reallllly hard when a cast, or a couple of individuals can’t make it work.
Petra: You know you’re working with a cast of different personalities, which I have love for them all — but the girls can be drama queens, for sure. I mean I guess that’s the name of the game haha. Cast members being mad at their capacity in the season, cast members refusing to film with one another, cast members who don’t want certain things in the episode, accusations of favoritism… After 10 seasons I’ve been in the middle, or even been the target of the heat, where cast members are upset at me or one another and I just have to find a way to diffuse the situation.
Kirby: What do you think RHOBB has, or does well that keeps it being one of the most successful shows in role-play?
Petra: I think we stay consistent. Myself and the cast all are in agreement that we want to make the best show possible. Olivia and Yvonne were 2/4 of the original RHOBB Season 1 cast. Olivia/Sheridan has been with the show all 10 seasons and will be co-producing this season along with me!
Kirby: That’s awesome!
Petra: This will be Monsè’s 5th season. This will be Marcie & Valentina’s 3rd. Even past cast members like Grace and Imani who were on multiple seasons. The cast always shows up and shows out season after season when filming, they work as a group, they attempt to have minimal drama behind the scenes…though sometimes that can be hard haha.
So I feel like the collaboration between me and the cast and the cast amongst each other is what has kept the show from going down in flames.
Kirby: *smiles* So when are we actually going to see you on a show? I know I would love to see that.
Petra: Ooooh hunni! Here’s a little intel, but I actually don’t like filming. It’s long, sometimes you have to wait, girl’s don’t get the point or go off guide…Plus I get distracted! It can be annoying to me sometimes but I definitely find it entertaining to see everything unfold from the Producer’s chair.
I actually did film UGT2 with Activator Productions! That was actually a good time, I really wish the community could have seen it and maybe see a different, more engaged side to me! *shrugs* But it looks like it’s never seeing the light of day RIP…But that was quick and not a full season and I got into the mess hunni. There were some fights and storylines about behind the scenes RHOBB drama…the girls were coming for Producer Petra *giggles* But it was a blast to film and a really great season.
Kirby: How do you think you and I would fare on a show together? I think we’d have a blast!
Petra: Girl, I think we’d team up on a show and come up with some really great storylines on a show together. I know you’re such a great Producer of such two successful series’ — I think we would both bring it and make whoever was producing us very happy! *laughs and high fives Kirby*
Kirby: YES GIRL! *laughs* Okay next question. Give me the names of a RHOBB Legends edition… This is hard, I had to do it once for our show…
Petra: Hmmm an All Star Real Housewives of Beverly Beach cast… I’m going to go with: Lauren Barnes, Ren Rose, Yvonne Langley, Sheridan Campbell, Lorelei Sullivan, Mona Quinn, Monsè DeRosier, and Valentina Armani!
Kirby: Do you have any regrets on your time leading RHOBB? Do you live in regrets or no?
Petra: Honestly — I have no major regrets leading BB to be honest. At the end of the day, it’s a passtime and meant to be for fun.
Kirby: That’s my thing right, this is meant to be fun. We’re here on our own accord, why do we need to deal with dicks or people with attitudes? It makes it harder and not fun at all. I know this podcast is a result of me wanting to get back to the roots of roleplay. *nods*
Petra: YES. I truly believe RP should never be that serious, and I definitely did not start out like that. It shouldn’t be stressful, you shouldn’t be having major regrets. It’s all mostly frivolous in my mind. *smiles*
Kirby: Tell me about this new RHOBB season, what can we expect? I’m excited!
Petra: The new season is going to be really, really good. I really think (and hope) everyone will like it. I admit BB has had some rough seasons (Season 5, Season 8 *cough cough*) But this is definitely not one of them. I think the cast has found their stride. We have a little over half the season filmed as of now and I have everything we have filmed already edited into the first 9 episodes.
We are planning on having about 14 episodes so the ‘Wives’ are getting ready to head on their final trip in the next couple of weeks. I think you can expect changing dynamics, much like last season. Especially because three new ‘Wives’ have been filming for the group for Season 10! We have somebody from old Beverly Beach lineage that has refused to do the show, and we have asked multiple times, finally sign on. She’s well connected to multiple members of the group.
We will also be seeing one of Valentina’s friends coming onto the show! The newbies are definitely not falling into the shadows of the vets. I’m excited for everyone to meet them!
Kirby: Another blockbuster is upon us I think Petra, I would expect nothing less from you and your team! *smiles* What do you want to see more of in the role-play community? What is it missing, in your opinion?
Petra: I think we need more variety! We need a younger show that uses people from Southern Charm/Summer House/Southern Hospitality.
We need a new concept that isn’t just housewives. That’s why I majorly applaud Christina with FH and of course you with LoTC. They are unique, throughout ideas that aren’t just another “Real Housewives of (BLANK)”. That’s what I think gorg!
Kirby: Girl I’ve been so busy in life, that LoTC show needs to come out ASAP. That gang are going to blow the socks off of this community, let me tell you. *pauses* Thank you SO much for talking that talk with me Petra, you are a babe. Love you
Petra: Kirby thank you so much for having me hun! It was an absolute pleasure! *kisses*
