Talk That Talk to ME: Episode 2, A St. Patrick Resurrection?
Today’s podcast, features Patrick Fireson. A force or nature, a wrecking ball, a returnee to the roleplay world and producer of the rebooted show, Married to Medicine: Twitter!
Kirby’s Intro: HELLO!! It’s I, Kirby J Lime and you are on the official second episode of my podcast, TALK THAT TALK TO ME!
I am here to remind us all that it’s important to have some fun, laugh a lot, expose some secrets, reveal some truths and maybe throw a little shade too, but mostly, this podcast is for you, the viewer. Thank you for being here.
Today we have none other than Patrick Fireson. A force of nature who has had a very turbulent time in role-play, but is back in not one, but TWO new shows. He’s a producer of the long running show Married to Medicine: Twitter and is one of the stars of the Ladies of Twitter spin off, Ladies of the City!
Okay, so, go grab a snack, get a cup of tea and settle in. We have a lot to talk about!
Kirby: Welcome Patrick! *smiles* here we are, on the podcast. It’s genuinely great to see you back in roleplay, you took some time out and by the looks of it, you’re better than before, if not better than ever, right?
Patrick: Thank you so much for having me!
Kirby: How have things been?
Patrick: *laughs* Since my return? Things have been amazing. It’s been a nice welcome back.. from most.
Kirby: How does it feel to be back after taking a long break from the roleplay world?
Patrick: *pauses* At first, I thought I made a mistake. It seemed like so many were living in the past and didn’t find it within themselves to “allow me back” but since I overcame that assumption, it’s feels great. I missed it to be honest.
Kirby: It’s so important that we take time for ourselves. I did it a while back and it was great, I’ve been thinking more and more about taking another break.
ANYWAY. Okay so huge news, I asked you to be a part of the cast of Ladies of the City, which is a huge new show, so many people are involved with it, it wrapped a while ago and it’s in post, we actually spoke on camera about it before we started filming, let’s roll that clip…
the screen pans to Kirby and Patrick sat together in an office, with ‘October 2024’ coming on the screen*
Kirby: Hello Patrice *laughs*
Patrick: Hello Lime…
Kirby: As we sit here, you’ve just signed your contract to return to Roleplay and the community as a whole by being on my new show Ladies of the City, I think people will be surprised and shocked that this is happening, I won’t lie I’m expecting some backlash *laughs* but I think what’s most important is that we show the community that second chances are important, if you and I can come back together and work together again, it’s really not a lot for others to realise this is all for fun, something for all of us, and really, most of the time… it’s just not that deep.
Patrick: *nods* Agreed, I do think that this should be a lesson to all. We can find a place where we can come together. I’m happy we are at this place. I am so excited. Ladies is where I made my mark, even though sometimes not so positive. I love Ladies of Twitter and I am so happy to be back.
Kirby: Tell the people, what do you think is going to be different this time? Why does this show make sense to you?
Patrick: I think we are all eager for something fresh, the community needs something new. Ladies of the City is something fresh. I know i’m the vet but it’s a new vibe. Of course you’ll get the drama and the fireworks but you will get real stories, sisterhood and many laughs. The group you got together is quite something…
Kirby: You had quite the run on LoT, what will we see this time? You’re actually living in the city aren’t you, so really, this is a perfect storm.
Patrick: This time you are getting Pat. You are getting my real friendships. You are getting the real story. I’m more vulnerable this time around. I’m used to the cameras so it’s not as tough for me to be open.
No one can deny I make my mark. It’s time for the past to be the past.. It bothers me when people deny the work i’ve done. I’m not saying i’m the best of the best but i’m really really good.
*the screen flashes back to the present day*
Kirby: So how was filming the new show. Tell me all the deets!
Patrick: Everything. It’s such a cool, different show. People will love it, no one will see it ending the way it does. It’s an amazing season, I hope people tune in and enjoy!
Kirby: Who would be on your Legends season two cast?
Patrick: This is so hard! The roleplay world has truly expanded, but these names come to mind. Me, You, Billie, Petra, Tiffany, Jocelyn, Tre, Frankie, Imani, Ana and Kee.
Kirby: That’s a HUGE, EXPENSIVE CAST. I’d wanna watch that*laughs* Okay, tell me about the M2M reboot…
Patrick: There are some shows that have had their own reboots, so I figured why not get the ball rolling and I wanted this season to be like something we’ve never seen. I was nervous with so many new girls, some new to role play but damn they delivered! The show is very authentic, which helps the flow of the show. there’s so many twists and turns.
Kirby: Best thing about roleplay and your biggest regret?
Patrick: The best thing? Honestly, was being on Ladies of Twitter. What a ride we had, that cast really was unmatched.
Biggest regret, it would be the exposé I led towards you. Which was so wrong, and obviously we’ve grown so much past that and been able to rebuild a friendship which has been great and I thank you for that.
Kirby: *winks* What is missing in the community, to you?
Patrick: Producer hat on? We’ve cluttered the system with shows that shouldn’t be. There are too many shows giving the same thing.
I think if I was to film the reboot of M2M and think wow this is shit, it would never see the light of day. Production teams nowadays, it feels like they want to just get anything out. Fix your show if it isn’t working, is my advice.
I think there’s room for everyone, but there’s definitely some shows that need to see that they’re just not producing the content that’s good enough, give us something memorable! I would love to see a Legends season two of girls from different shows, that would be unreal!
Kirby: Do you think you’re misunderstood? What do you want to say to someone listening to this who may not be your biggest fan?
Patrick: Oh of course, but that’s because people poke until they get a rise out of me. I am working on that, nobody is perfect. I think that people are always deserving a second chance and I think that maybe others should take a page out of my book, and apologize for their mistakes and take a break. I think we all need time away to regroup and then you come back and hopefully make as good as content as I have.
I deserve to be here just as much as anyone else.
Kirby: Well said. Bravo! Thank you so much Patrick!
Married to Medicine: Twitter is currently airing it’s seventh season.
